Tell us about yourself and your role at Mondelēz International.

Hi! I'm Büşra. My Mondelēz journey began in vibrant Istanbul, Turkey, where I started as the Accounting & External Reporting Analyst in 2017, and over the years, I was promoted to Accounting & External Reporting Manager of Turkey. Driven by a desire for global growth and new challenges, I relocated to the beautiful city of Bratislava, Slovakia, in 2024 to take on my current role as Fixed Asset Manager MEU. In my role, I lead a fantastic team whose responsibility is fixed assets management across the region, ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and process improvement.

How would you describe your career path?

Dynamic, growth-oriented, and full of exciting transformations. Moving from a market-level leadership position in Istanbul to a regional hub role in Bratislava has been a defining milestone. Mondelēz has given me the platform to step out of my comfort zone, learn continuously, and expand my perspective across different European business units. It’s a career path built on taking initiative, embracing cross-border opportunities, and constantly raising the bar.

May you give us a closer look at the Finance Fixed Asset MEU team?

We govern and shape how Fixed Assets are managed across Mondelēz in MEU. Our team manages all process designs, improvements, and governance of fixed asset management to ensure compliance with company policy and US GAAP standards, from initial tracking to long-term asset valuation. Our major focus currently is driving digitalization, automation, and process harmonization across MEU. By streamlining workflows and leveraging modern tools, we reduce manual efforts, increase data transparency, and ensure consistent standards across all business units. We work closely with plant finance, project managers, the accounting & external reporting team, and regional leaders to turn strategic investments into tangible business value and govern the whole fixed asset process. Beyond the numbers, we are a collaborative, diverse, and agile group that values clear communication and mutual support.

What are your most significant challenges as a Team Lead?

Leading across borders and cultures always brings unique dynamics. One of the biggest challenges, and the most rewarding part of my role, is balancing complex, high-volume regional processes while ensuring every team member feels empowered, motivated, and supported in their individual growth. Building strong trust and good communication in a fast-paced environment is key to keeping our momentum strong.

How would you describe Mondelēz’s culture?
