We make the world’s favorite snacks. Our strategy focuses on four key pillars: Growth, Execution, Culture, and Sustainability.
Growth
Consumers continuously seek new, exciting tastes, ingredients, and flavor combinations to elevate their snacking moments. Snacking occasions are continuing to grow worldwide – with the average consumer now snacking more than three times per day. That’s why we continuously invest in growing our company – expanding our scale and reach to deliver distinctive, delicious snacking experiences around the world.
About 60 percent of our revenues come from developed markets, primarily North America and Europe. We also have achieved critical mass in Emerging Markets – responsible for about 40 percent of revenues – where our locally and culturally nuanced business practices, relationships, and know-how enable us to stay a step ahead of changing consumer and customer needs.
Today, we hold a clear #1 global position in biscuits, a very close #2 global position in chocolate, the #3 global position in cakes and pastries, and the #3 global position in snack bars. These core snacking categories are continuing to grow 1.4 times faster than other food categories.
Execution
To make our snacks even more delicious, accessible, and affordable, we’re focused on continuously improving everything we do – from building a world-class supply chain and manufacturing operation to ensuring that our great brands are easy for consumers to find on store shelves.
Our local teams are empowered and incentivized to stay close to our customers and rapidly adapt to changing local trends – with robust support from our global headquarters when they need it.
A key component in accelerating operational execution is our ongoing digital transformation. We’re leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to better understand consumer and customer needs and behaviors – empowering us to deliver customized solutions in near real time – while streamlining our end-to-end supply chain processes and systems to optimize efficiency.

We set measurable goals for advancing more sustainable business – for example, by sourcing raw materials more sustainably, reducing the environmental imprint of our operations, and supporting communities where we work and live.
