How do you balance the demands of your role with your personal life, and what support does Mondelēz provide in this area?

MThe management team at MDLZ is extremely supportive of flexible work arrangements I feel empowered to pursue my hobbies and personal commitments while remaining productive during my working hours. For example, finishing earlier one day to attend a house inspection or family event, and then the following days making up the time to balance out. We are empowered to manage our own workloads and trusted to be honest with our responsibilities at work.

What resources/ training programs at Mondelēz have been most beneficial in developing your skills?

The mentorship program we have at MDLZ has been such a highlight for me. As part of the graduate program, I was paired with Jesse Donaldson, who was managing the WW team at the time. After 5 years of being in the business and connecting with Jesse in our mentorship program, we’ve continued to catch up every single month since I started at MDLZ. Jesse and I have both progressed in our careers, and it has been valuable to learn from each other's experiences at different points in our careers within the business.

What is your favourite memory from your time at Mondelēz so far?

My favourite memory is the excitement and enthusiasm my teammates had when I was promoted into a role I really wanted. The influx of congratulatory emails, Teams messages and conversations was super supportive and made me feel appreciated in my wider team. Everyone encourages each other and celebrates the shared wins, including personal career progressions.

What initially attracted you to join Mondelēz International, and has your experience aligned with your expectations?

I applied to MDLZ as a graduate straight out of university. The company’s strong reputation and the types of customers we worked with were what initially attracted me. My expectations and my experiences completely aligned, and more! The household brands we get the privilege to work on is second to none, and the complexity in the cross functional teams makes working for a global business incredibly well resourced and on the same page for growth. I was pleasantly surprised with how many functional teams there are, and how there is a home for every outcome, question, process or business objective. Working cross-functionally has been a major win, as the breadth of experience I have gained so far, and the incredible knowledge people have in their fields, makes for a clear path to achieve our business goals.
