What is your role, and how is your experience being part of #TeamMDLZ?
I am the Compensation & Benefits Lead for Southeast Asia, and I am having the best time so far, fueling my passion for C&B and working with high-performing teams within the Human Resource community.
What is flexible work for you?
For me, flexible work is being able to work anytime and from any location without sacrificing personal priorities – whether attending a child's school event, taking care of an elderly family member or simply having some downtime. The flexibility that allows work-life integration enables me to be more productive and motivated.
What does your work schedule look like? How often do you go to the office and work from home?
Working in a flexible environment has become a popular approach for many companies, and I have been fortunate enough to experience it firsthand. By only coming into the office twice a week, I am able to maximize my time at home and avoid the stresses of a long commute. These days are meant for face-to-face meetings and collaborations. When in the office, we also work flexibly, which fits our schedule, but of course, considering the regular working hours of the company and the markets we support. Flex hours would mean I can come to the office at whichever time works for me, which could be early morning or afternoon, then stay for 4 hours in the office and finish or start at home.
How does MDLZ’s flexible work schedule allow you to spend time with your family, yourself, and friends?
With our flex work shed, I am able to spend time with my family, especially with my new baby, Lucas, by being home early, playing with him and, putting him to bed, then continuing work afterward. This arrangement allows me to balance my professional responsibilities with my personal life without feeling like one is sacrificed for the other.
How was your experience regarding MDLZ’s family support/ parental leaves?
I am incredibly grateful to MDLZ for considering a special work arrangement for parents in the Philippines. Parents are given an extra day of work from home on top of the standard privilege of two, so I can tailor my time to home and work demands. It is really a big win for new moms like me, and I feel fortunate to work for a company that values the well-being of its employees, especially working parents like myself.
Are there any activities or events at MDLZ that engaged you and your family? Any memorable experience?
As the Rewards Leads in MDLZ, my most memorable experience so far is being given the opportunity to think about new benefits that can support the ‘Right Connections’ with our colleagues’ families and loved ones. This experience has given me a sense of fulfillment and strengthened my belief in the company's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our people.
