What is your role in #TeamMDLZ?

I’m currently the AMEA Packaging Data Requestor who provides and handles Packaging Related Data all throughout Asia, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region.

What makes your role exciting?

I got the opportunity to work with different brands around the AMEA region and got to learn from their perspective.

What has been the most interesting project you worked on?

During my Packaging Technologist stint, I got to work on the popular chewing gum brand in Thailand which is Dentyne. I oversaw the packaging development of this new product that is a sugar-free chewing gum that comes in a convenient resealable pouch. This variety features a refreshing Lychee flavor enhanced with collagen and Vitamin C.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned so far in your career?

Master data management is crucial in every organization because it ensures consistency, accuracy, and reliability of critical business data. It is my job to ensure a "single source of truth" for critical data entities like customers, direct materials, and pricing. This improves data quality, reduces errors, and enhances decision-making. During my operational master data management activities, I realized that the most valuable lesson I learned is that technology is only an enabler; the true success lies in strong data governance, business ownership, and a culture of data quality.

What are some exciting developments that you can share (or tease) in your function?

High-quality master data is crucial for realizing the full potential of AI. As we transition to S4o9 we will need the high quality of master data to deliver high quality results as well. Since MDLZ is introducing AI in the business, High-quality master data can support better decision, insight, and accuracy. Currently we are in progress establishing this data governance and quality in SEA.

To summarize: High-quality data = Smart AI = Better decisions for Mondelēz!

What’s your favorite memory or experience with your team?

Every week there’s an assigned person to prepare a dessert for the team and this is one of the most anticipated days for the team since most of us are in the office during this time. We call this “FUN-himagas” (panghimagas). Basically, it’s a combination of Fun + Himagas (which is a Filipino word for dessert). So, its direct translation is “fun dessert”.

How would you describe the culture at MDLZ?

Working in Mondelēz has strong culture and values with a supportive work environment that has good relationships among the team.

What is your favorite MDLZ product?

Our local jewel in the Philippines, Eden. It’s that iconic cheese that elevates our dishes on special occasions such as Birthdays and “Noche Buena”. It’s always been an essential part in our “Pinoy Style” spaghetti.
