Could you please introduce yourself and your role at Mondelēz International?

I work within MDS Cybersecurity as a Global, Risk & Governance Manager. My primary responsibilities include leading Third-Party Risk Management, overseeing security policy management, and driving training and awareness initiatives across the organization.

What has been your most memorable moment at Mondelēz International?

It often feels like Mondelēz is constantly creating new memorable moments, whether it is a new cookie flavor or an engaging problem-solving session. If I had to choose one, it would be attending the TISL/BISL College in Costa Rica a couple of years ago.

It was a special experience because it brought the entire team together in one place, allowing us to share knowledge and experiences beyond our daily interactions. We also had valuable opportunities to connect with colleagues from other departments and build meaningful relationships. A highlight for me was presenting our vision for Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and contributing to broader strategic discussions. It was a truly collaborative and enriching experience.

Could you provide an overview of your career journey at Mondelēz over the years?

I have experienced significant growth within a supportive and dynamic environment. I joined as a Senior GRC Analyst and was promoted to GRC Manager, leading Third-Party Risk Management, within my first year.

The following year, I took on additional responsibilities for Training and Awareness. Six months ago, my role expanded further to include Policy Management. This steady progression reflects an organization that values its people and provides opportunities to build new skills and grow.

What advice would you share with someone who wants to build a career similar to yours, and what practical tips would you give them?

Mondelēz is full of opportunities to shine! Bring ideas forward, take initiative, and be a problem-solver.

It is also important to build your personal brand. Be known as someone who is reliable, confident, proactive, and collaborative. This mindset will help you stand out and grow.

Looking back, which projects have been true game-changers for you?

The most impactful part of my journey has been stepping into a leadership role and guiding a team of talented individuals.

This experience reshaped my understanding of leadership. It goes beyond tasks and deliverables, and it is truly about supporting and empowering people. It meant stepping in for my team when needed and creating a safe and supportive environment where they could perform at their best.

What challenges have you encountered in your role, and how have you approached them?

Working in a large global organization like Mondelēz comes with unique challenges, especially when implementing consistent and effective security practices across different regions.

The complexity lies in navigating varying regulatory requirements, local data residency laws, and different cultural approaches to security. These factors can create constraints and complex processes.

My approach has been rooted in proactive, cross-functional collaboration. By working closely with stakeholders across functions and regions, we are able to find practical solutions that balance security, compliance, and business needs.
