What attracted you to joining MDLZ?
There were a few things that attracted me to MDLZ. From a people point of view, I knew quite a few of the Sales organisation, who would become my peers, my team, my manager and I had a lot of respect for them, which was a huge plus.
The ability of this business to find ways to innovate and grow and collaborate with customers was really apparent from the outside and was also really appealing. Although I joined the business a few years ago I had also previously worked in the old Meals Business Unit and knew how capable the people here were. All of those external expectations have worked out to be reality which is really satisfying.
What has been the highlight/s (projects) for you?
The highlight of my time here so far is being a part of some massive product launches. The launch of In a Biskit and the new Marvellous Creations range, for example, were both relatively fast to turn around and created extremely strong results for both ourselves and the customer.
What do you think people can expect from a career with MDLZ?
MDLZ gives you an opportunity to develop skills across a variety of roles and functions. Not only does the opportunity to broaden your skillset exist but it’s highly encouraged, leading to a broader knowledge base than you would get working in a singular function.

What does flexibility mean for you?
As a father of two young children flexibility is extremely important to me. Here, I can feel comfortable balancing my family and work commitments in the best way possible.
What does career development and learning, mean for you at MDLZ?
MDLZ has a structure designed to help you develop as many skills as possible, while also advancing your career. You’re encouraged to broaden your skillset before being placed into a role you aren’t prepared for, helping ensure you are constantly finding new challenges and setting you up for the best chance of success in future roles.
How would you describe the working culture here?
I have 2 key things I can focus on – driving for results for myself/my team/the broader business and having a laugh along the way. From a culture point of view, we hold ourselves/each other accountable but have as much fun as possible in the process.
What advice do you have for someone considering an opportunity with MDLZ?
Prepare to put the Fast into Fast Moving Consumer Goods. Every month, every quarter, every year is different and there’s always something new and exciting to achieve.
