What is exciting about your role?

The main thing that comes to my mind is that every day is different! Me and my team work on a range of projects which makes us learn something new or overcome new challenges every day. This is something that keeps the role fresh and exciting. It is also exceptionally rewarding to see the products you have worked on and helped develop on the supermarket shelves.

What do you like about working at MDLZ?

I think the main aspect for me are the people. It is no secret that MDLZ has a great working environment because of its people. Everyone is always happy to help, or to answer any type of question. An environment like this allows us to grow and learn from each other every day.

What learning and capabilities programmes do you find most beneficial at MDLZ?

The R&D learning month is an interesting and great programme as there are a wide range of courses offered to us across the month. It allows us to personalise our learning, helping develop both our professional and personal growth. The courses available to us also showcase how we as R&D can contribute and make a difference to projects and business programmes.

How would you describe MDLZ as a future forward-thinking organisation?

One word – Innovation. Whether it is new tools or processes we can use to help us drive success, innovation is key. We always have main focus on our consumers, making sure we understand what it is they want and need, and how we can develop and create the right snack.

How would you describe the work culture at Mondelēz International and within your function?

The culture is collaborative and inclusive. Every day we work together as one team to try and achieve the best possible outcomes whilst looking out for each other.

What is your favourite brand?

Cadbury Dairy Milk (the best chocolate!)

What is the most exciting project that you have worked on?

Definitely the most recent project focused on Cadbury Mystery bar! It is a fun new concept for the brand to dive into and it certainly created lots of excitement for our consumers too. Additionally, it is great being one of the few people who knows the mystery flavours!

What surprised you about the process of developing the bars?

I was surprised how confidential the project was across R&D - we had to assign code names to the flavours to avoid them being known.

Is there anything else you would like to mention about the project or about the bars?

It is interesting to see and hear all the different guesses and the wide range of flavours people think the bars are!
