How long have you been at Mondelēz International, and what’s your memorable experience so far?

I joined Mondelēz in December 2023. One of the most memorable experiences for me has been watching my team grow into a strong, collaborative unit, especially during times of change.

I recall a particularly busy period when we welcomed a large influx of new joiners across various locations. Rather than feeling overwhelmed, the team leaned in with energy, empathy, and unwavering support for one another and our new joiners. As their leader, I felt and feel immense pride witnessing how each of them stepped up, not only delivering operational excellence but also making each new colleague feel seen and valued. It was a beautiful reminder that when we're here for one another, we’re capable of achieving truly meaningful things together.

As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator Team Lead, what are the common challenges you encounter in your role? And likewise, what makes it fun and fulfilling?

In Onboarding, every day is a balancing act – coordinating across teams, adapting to last-minute changes, and ensuring every detail is just right. The challenges are real: unexpected tech glitches, hirings in different locations, or aligning multiple stakeholders. But what makes it all worthwhile is the people. We get to be part of someone’s very first steps in their new journey with MDLZ – and that’s incredibly rewarding. It’s incredible watching someone go from feeling nervous on day one to thriving weeks later, knowing we played a part in this transformation.

What makes it fun and fulfilling? The laughter, the collaboration, the daily teamwork, and the shared mission of making people feel welcomed from the very first “hello”.

What’s one thing about being a Talent Acquisition Coordinator Team Lead that no one knows about? Any fun facts or stories you can share?

Most people think we’re about administrative tasks only – but we’re also the unofficial part detectives and go-to people across the business. People constantly reach out to us with the most unexpected questions, and we love it. Whether it’s tracking down equipment across different locations, solving a mystery about a lost document, or connecting someone with the right person, we’re always here to find the answer.

As the TAC Team, we take pride in being resourceful, approachable, and ready for just about anything. We’re the first point of contact, the friendly face on Day 1, and often, the reassuring voice when someone needs it most. It’s never boring – and that’s exactly how we like it. Fun facts? Our superpowers are: we can anticipate questions before they’re even asked, turn complex processes into a seamless experience, translate policies into plain language, and somehow remember all pet names within our team. It’s all about people, for us - onboarding isn’t just a checklist, it’s a chance to make someone feel seen, safe, and set up for success.

People always say the Talent Acquisition team is the heart of the business as it brings new talent to the organization. How true is this for you and Mondelēz International?

Absolutely true – and I feel that every single day. We’re there at the very start of each employee’s journey, helping them feel welcomed, informed, and excited about what’s ahead. The way we onboard someone can shape how they see the company and themselves within it. We create the first pulse of connection, culture, and community. So yes, we are the heart – and it’s a heartbeat filled with care, kindness, and a commitment to making every experience feel exciting and meaningful.
