We have an exciting and newly created opportunity for an energetic and passionate Workers Compensation Advisor Based at our iconic Cadbury plant in Claremont.

This role will see you deliver statutory benefits to injured/ill workers in line with regulatory requirements whilst reducing liabilities through effective claims management and early return to work.

Working as part of the HSE team and reporting to the Workers Compensation Claims & Liability Manager ANZ, the role provides advice regarding Workcover benefits, appropriate treatment, services and reporting to ensure effective claims strategies are implemented for all claims.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Provide specialist knowledge and support in all aspects of work-related injury, workers compensation claims and return to work strategy and process
  • Determining liability and timely assessment of treatment/service requests
  • Appropriately document claim decisions
  • Develop and implement claim strategies that deliver positive and sustainable outcomes
  • Communicating and interacting with medical professionals to facilitate return to work
  • Interacting and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the end-to-end portfolio of claims for self-insured states (TAS)

We are interested in hearing from you if you possess;

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end management of Workcover claims. Experience within a self-insurance setting would be preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of the current and relevant Compensation Act- Tasmania
  • Excellent time management and communication skills with the ability to adapt when changes occur
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet agreed deadlines and a high attention to detail
  • Excellent customer services skills to support and give guidance to injured workers to recover and make a safe and sustainable return to work through claims management processes
