The Automation Electrical Project Engineer will be personally responsible for leading the execution of the automation project portfolio in Sheffield manufacturing, integrating the Plant Security, process control automation, obsolescence, and equipment automation.
This individual will plan, develop and execute capital projects, will support technical aspects of all site projects and be the site senior Automation Engineer.
You will follow Mondelēz business and innovation processes in project management and ensure that Mondelēz standards are adhered to.
How you will contribute
You will be responsible for:
The development and execution of the site automation & IT/OT (operational technology) roadmap.
Support the plant productivity agenda by providing technical expertise for automation solutions.
Ensure MDLZ engineering standards for Electrical & Automation are adhered to support reduction of total cost of ownership, ease of maintenance, and ease of operation.
Development and implementation of a site obsolescence plan.
Acting as lead for the site automation project portfolio. Ensure compliance with all technical processes.
Liaising with finance, engineering, manufacturing, asset reliability, safety, and quality stakeholders to drive project sign off, risk management, and design reviews.
Managing and lead the execution of automation projects.
Providing expert advice to other projects where they require electrical, controls, and automation input.
Support & coach the site asset reliability team through the development of guidelines, skills definition, maintenance execution, fault finding protocols, change management and spare parts standardisation.
Owning, maintaining, and auditing compliance with electrical and automation system change control.
Support the implementation of an extended support team to 24h operation.
Part of the escalation team for automation, IT/OT, & Cybersecurity incidents.
Responsible for cyber security at the plant, ensuring compliance with MDLZ infrastructure and cyber security standards.
Supporting to site electrical distribution network through attainment and application of HV-Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status.
What you will bring

Required
You will bring experience and knowledge in:
Management experience in Automation Projects.
Degree or equivalent experience Electrical Engineering or Automation/Control Engineering field.
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG.
Automation technologies such as PLCs, networks, inverter and servo Drives, process control, automation software (operating and support), SCADA.
Siemens Controllers in both a continuous process and discrete environment (Rockwell also beneficial)
Practical knowledge & experience of IT infrastructure as used within a manufacturing environment; virtual environments, managed networks, client’/server architectures.
Desirable
Experience as a Site Senior Authorised Person and working on electrical distribution networks (HV/LV).
