Working as a highly-organized laboratory manager to ensure that all lab operations run smoothly by scheduling resource, ordering ingredients and supplies, maintaining lab equipment and overseeing lab activities in compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

How you will contribute

Act as a go-to person with responsibility for labs daily maintenance, and general lab issues: oversight over lab users working and/or present in the labs to ensure Health and Safety regulation compliant, daily visual inspection, waste removal coordination and monitoring lab environmental conditions.

Manage Ingredients and Supplies: order, refill and maintain storage conditions of ingredients and supplies in compliance with regulations.

Maintain Lab equipment: request annual blanket PO needed for repair and regular service; coordinate preventative and emergency maintenance with suppliers; conduct regular checks of standalone chambers and freezers to ensure the safe and proper working and operation of equipment.

Manage weekly resource scheduling.

Maintain lab environment safe and clean: schedule and coordinate regular cleanup for both labs and labs common areas (warehouse, locker room, shipment table, and et al); assist safety walk through and follow up on actions; coordinate PEM sampling plan.

Attend Gum & Candy Monthly staff meeting to communicate any lab related issues and/or followup.

Support Product Development activities as needed

 

What you will bring

 

A desire to contribute to Gum & Candy brands with experiences in:

·       Handling multiple priorities

·       Proactively identifying problems and following through on solutions

·       Good communication skills

·       Expert knowledge of laboratory health and safety protocols would be advantageous

·       Experience working in a lab would be advantageous

 


Education / Certifications:-

A Bachelor degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or another health and science field

 

Job specific requirements:

·       A minimum of 1 year experience as a lab manager or with equivalent experience

                Work schedule: Mon-Fri, on site
