Overview
This strategic role partners with our Ventures business leaders, cross-functional teams at Mondelēz International and external vendors and agencies to accelerate business growth of existing $1B+ Venture Portfolio.
Role Description
Our organization has an opening for a business savvy, highly analytical, and detail-oriented candidate to join our North American Ventures Strategy & Commercial team. This strategic role will partner with our brand leaders to understand how consumers’ preferences are changing and the macrotrends that are shaping their decision-making. This thought leader will use primary and secondary research to understand and break down snacking categories to leverage this knowledge to identify how existing Venture businesses can optimize performance to maximize growth. This person will be an explorer and pioneer for our business with an entrepreneurial spirit!
This Senior Associate Manager, Strategy & Commercial North America Ventures is business-minded, consumer-centric, and has a strong strategic mindset. This person is a strong analyst who enjoys data, testing hypotheses, and influencing executives through insight-driven recommendations. The ideal candidate is a resourceful, curious learner and eager to connect the dots between new insights and business opportunities. Most importantly, this person can turn insights into ACTION!
Key Responsibilities:
Having a pulse on the marketplace, through market research, store visits and general periodical reading/ social media exploration à this is a 365-day activity!
Actively participate at conferences and expos to understand, first-hand, consumer trends & snacking competitors
Lead the identification of new growth opportunities in Ventures’ snacking categories
Consult with marketing and sales leadership to anticipate, formulate, and frame key business questions
Gather and analyze data, understand trends and patterns, identify foresight, construct story lines to deliver impactful/ implementable insights to businesses and Senior Leadership
Integrate insights collaboratively with business teams throughout the complete brand/product life cycle, including brand strategy, communication strategy development, innovation pipeline development, and in-market execution/assessment
Manage data providers/research partners, deploy and continuously perfect solutions
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree is required
3 or more years of experience, preferably in an analytical / data analysis role
Prior Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience preferred
Passion and interest in the Food & Beverage / Snacking world
Strong technical skills required (i.e., Excel)
Hypothesis building and testing, thought leadership and strategic thinking
A successful history of processing and extracting business insights from large, disconnected data sets
Strong ownership, project management and organizational skills with focus on results/timelines
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Strong story building and executive presentation capability – must be detail-oriented
Desire to progress and get promoted through the organization
Strong influencing and communication skills
The role can be a hybrid working approach from East Hanover, NJ
