Job Description

Provide input and implement the MDLZ manufacturing strategy and manage the plant to ensure availability of adequate resources (e.g., materials, equipment, employees) to produce the planned and budgeted volume (tons/annum) of products to be delivered right in time, at lowest costs and within the required MDLZ quality and safety standards. Lead, motivate and direct the Production Company team to achieve current and future goals within the agreed MDLZ manufacturing strategy, and set objectives to increase competitive advantage in producing the products.
How you will contribute
You will:
Propose and operate within annual conversion cost budget and deliver required volume of products within service level agreed, on time and in full, at lowest cost and within MDLZ quality standards to MEU.
Initiate and lead productivity projects and implement other investment projects, approved by MEU, in co-operation with Business Development in order to reach growth targets and reduce standard costs.
Run the plant organisation in an efficient, social climate despite a rapidly changing environment and aggressive cost/assets reduction targets. Negotiate with work’s council/unions to reach certain aims when interests are diverging.
Ensure optimal cost structure and deliver annual cost savings in line with production standards approved by MEU.
Ensure proper stock management in line with strategies and guidelines set by MEU.
Drive IL6S and HPWS journey of the plant in order to influence behaviour of all plant employees.
Elaborate and/or update an annual conversion and yield roadmap for the plant organisation and identify specific projects to satisfy cost reduction targets as per productivity strategies.
Execute MEU Category growth initiatives and new product launches.
Lead plant productivity projects and implement other investment projects.
Provide input to the MEU Manufacturing Strategies.
Ensure that all plant functions are working under best possible practices and environment regarding all existing internal and external policies and procedures in respect of MDLZ´s role within the community (i.e., safety regulations, plant security and environmental policies).

In 1880 Carl Russ Suchard, Philippe Suchard's son in law, founded the first chocolate factory outside Switzerland in Lörrach. In 1901 Milka was born and the very first Milka chocolate bar was produced in Lörrach in the iconic purple package. In 1972 the Milka cow becomes the testimonial and therewith the trademark of Milka chocolate.
Today the Milka plant in Lörrach is the biggest chocolate manufacturing unit within Mondelez International in Europe. We produce 24/7 with approx. 500 employees the "tenderest temptation" and export it to more than 50 countries worldwide. Our employees are thereby our most important ingredient.
What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:
At least 5-7 years of line management
Understanding and experience on driving cultural change
Sound understanding of industrial requirements and standards and logistic processes
University degree engineering, mechanical engineer or industrial processing engineer or economic engineer
Intermediate level of German language
The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland .
