I studied Marketing in Paris Dauphine and wanted to join a company with powerful brands that I would love working with. That is why I applied for my internship at Mondelēz International (Kraft Foods at that time) not knowing that I would enjoy 12 years Marketing in the company ! I am very proud to have worked on such engaging & interesting brands, in Chocolate, Coffee and Biscuit Categories.
2 years ago, I had the chance to do a cross functional move, and I am now in Sales department, in a Senior Category Manager Role.
I love working in Sales because it enables me to discover a complementary part of the company. With such a great diversity of people and careers, I get to learn from colleagues who have experience in the Field Sales Force, Category planning, IC or ecommerce channels, from different companies too. There is a wealth of diversity in learning opportunities and I have so much to learn from everyone’s Sales experience! I also love the Category Manager job in itself, building the most win-win plans for Mondelēz International & our customers with immediate business impact.
I arrived in Sales team during a strong Sales reorganization period and I had the chance to be involved very quickly on Sales & Negotiation trainings that helped me to learn quickly. Team spirit of Sales department also helped me a lot.
However at the beginning, because of my senior role, it was a challenge to lead a team of very experienced category managers, while I did not know the role well. My strong values, collective, trust & empowerment, helped me to build a strong & effective team :
COLLECTIVE: by encouraging strong team spirit & finding synergies to be more efficient,
TRUST: by getting to know each other, being authentic & true,
EMPOWEREMENT: by capitalizing on my team expertise & valorise it.
Above all, I learnt to trust myself. How I could nourish my team using my marketing & management experience and I am very proud today to look at what we have accomplished together.
I can only encourage cross functional moves that are a strong opportunity MDLZ is offering and creating good conditions to take them. It helps to grow everyday a little more, to discover new MDLZ great teams & to enlarge our vision & experience.
