CMO Planet Pledge

A Plan to Make Marketing Part of the Solution

We are committed to a goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions across our full value chain by 2050.

That’s why we have signed the Science Based Targets initiative’s Business Ambition for 1.5°C, aligning our long-term emissions mitigation targets with the ambitious aim of limiting temperature rise in accordance with the Paris Agreement. We've also joined the United Nations Race to Zero Campaign to help build momentum towards a decarbonized economy.

Global commitments to fight climate change require fundamental changes to the way we do business.

We believe that Marketing can and should play an essential role in driving change at scale by building cross functional capabilities, harnessing the power of agency relationships and mobilizing iconic brands to catalyze action.

That is why Martin Renaud, EVP and Chief Marketing & Sales Officer joined the WFA Planet Pledge. As we share best practices and further embed sustainability capabilities in our Marketing department, we also call upon our Marketing agency partners and entire marketing supply chain, to join the UN Climate Change Race to Zero. We will continue to share tools and best practices to advance this important shared work in the days ahead.
