Oreo Debuts Direct-to-Consumer Gifting Website in the U.S.
Just in time for the holidays, OREO launched a new exciting online gifting experience for consumers in the United States. The gifts.OREO.com website, which launched this week, offers consumers limited-edition and festively designed OREO tins filled with delicious White Fudge Covered OREO cookies that are perfect gifts during the holidays.
Even better, OREO fans can send gifts to anyone in the U.S. without knowing the recipient’s home address, using only their email or mobile phone number. Recipients can then “open” the gift online and confirm shipping details to send the OREO gift to the location of their choice.
This new pilot program is about testing a new way of selling products directly to consumers, using our in-house capabilities. The idea went from concept to launch in 45 days, showcasing our speed and agility in the eCommerce space. This is the latest initiative in our strategy to grow eCommerce revenues to at least $1 billion globally by 2020.
