We asked Bharat to share insights into his day-to-day responsibilities and what it’s like to be part of our Makers and Bakers at MDLZ.

What is exciting about your role?

I really like the fact that my role is not only commercial but also multidisciplinary as it spans across Sales, Marketing and Technology. In conjunction with complete profit and loss responsibility, this makes the role exciting and challenging every day.

What is the most exciting project that you have worked on?

I have had the privilege of working across multiple assignments within Mondelēz International, ranging from ‘build it’ to ‘fix it’ projects. It is difficult to highlight only one of them and hence I will mention two extraordinary projects which I had the pleasure to work on. The first one was an eCommerce role with MDLZ India where I successfully turned around the MDLZ Amazon India Business. The second is my current role where I am working on building the Toblerone Direct to Customer (DTC) business for the United Kingdom.

What do you like about working at MDLZ?

I like that MDLZ lives and swears by its values of keeping consumers at the heart of every conversation, investing for the future, treating everyone with care & integrity and always making people development a top priority.

What learning and capabilities programmes do you find most beneficial at MDLZ?

I find that there are many programmes and training opportunities at MDLZ that are very beneficial, these span across commercial topics to development of the right work mindset. To name a few, I have personally enjoyed our Best in Class, Digital Shelf, Winning in Evolving Channels (Quick Commerce), Revenue Growth Management and Growth Mindset training programmes.

How would you describe MDLZ as a future forward-thinking organisation?

Being future ready and thinking ahead of the curve is embedded within the DNA of Mondelēz International. This also reflects the work and campaigns that are delivered as well as the amount of exposure given to its talent in terms of growth and development.

How would you describe the work culture at Mondelēz International and within your function?

I think three words describe it perfectly: Warm, welcoming & entrepreneurial.
