Tell us about your career journey at MDLZ

I joined MDLZ in 2016 on the sales & marketing graduate scheme in the UK where I experienced a mix of commercial roles in sales revenue planning, e-commerce, and marketing. Since then, I have pursued a career in the marketing function, doing several brand management roles firstly on Philadelphia where I had the opportunity to work on brand equity and plant-based innovation. Now I am working on the Cadbury brand where I am leading our well-being agenda and kids’ portfolio!

What is your current role, and what is exciting about it?

Currently I’m working in the Cadbury UK marketing team as Brand Manager, leading exciting innovation launches in the well-being space and looking after our Cadbury kids’ portfolio & partnerships.

Most recently, the launch of Cadbury Delights, a new range of flavoured nougat and caramel bars coated in Cadbury chocolate, each under 100 calories, has been loads of fun to work on – exploring white space opportunities for the brand, developing the comms & pack design, strategizing the long-term pipeline, and then seeing the results start to come in! This innovation is continuing our strong track record of offering a wide range of snacking options for consumers by innovating to create new products.

I love the variety in my day-to-day job and working with so many great colleagues!

What do you like about working at MDLZ?

I love the company culture, the variety of brands and the diversity of people I get to work with every day!

What is the most exciting project that you have worked on?

One of my favourite projects was working on the advertising campaign for Philadelphia at Christmas – working on something that is linked to such an exciting and festive time of year was really uplifting and lots of fun (think Santa hat cheesecakes and smoked salmon canapes!), especially during Covid.

What is your biggest learning experience since working with us?

Not to be afraid to try new things - getting a breadth of experiences early on in my career (cross-category, cross-function) has been invaluable and helps me every day!

How would you describe the work culture at Mondelēz International and within your function?

Flexible, collaborative & supportive

What is your favourite MDLZ brand?

Cadbury Dairy Milk is my ultimate go to chocolate treat, and I also love a Belvita Soft Bake in the morning!

How do you flex-work?

Flexi-work has become very accessible at MDLZ, and I like to utilise the core hours programme (10-4) where I can which allows me flexibility outside of these times to go to gym classes, commute outside of rush hour & maintain my work life balance.

What advice would you give someone that wants to join MDLZ in the Marketing function?

To encourage them to build a strong network early on in their career!
