What makes your role exciting and unique?

When I joined MDLZ in 2019 as an accountant, I knew that I also wanted to explore other functions, such as Sales. After several roles in Finance, I had a chance to move into Sales. Being in this function allows me to lead the markets and work with distributors and customers.

My whole life, I believed that someday, I would be able to live in Greece. And true enough, in 2023, I had the chance to move to Greece. I am passionate about my work, and I love how it gave me the chance to be in a new country, learn new cultures, meet new people, and travel a lot!

What are you most proud of being a leader at MDLZ?

Being a leader is more than just words. For me, it is a huge responsibility for the business and our people. We aim to deliver and drive our business effectively while demonstrating our MDLZ values.

I am proud that I can mentor and share my knowledge with my direct reports and other colleagues so they can be successful future leaders – one who knows their motivation and are able to build the right career path for them. Being a leader in Sales also allows me to share my knowledge with our distributors.

I am proud of what I left behind and will continue doing so.

Who is Zorana when she is not working?

I am not so different from what people see in the office. I show who I am as authentically as I can. Maybe some people may have perceptions that I’m not serious and expect me to be more serious and formal in the office, but it’s my way of doing my job – always to have fun, enjoy life, and make things simple.

I like spending time outside in restaurants and clubs, enjoying music, dancing, cooking, joking, having fun, and getting tattoos! I am also active and into fitness (I like sports a lot!). But most of all, I like to travel a lot and enjoy a nice hot summer!

What are your personal commitments towards supporting the next women leaders in the industry?

When I started my career, many people supported me in my journey. I am grateful to them, especially all the women who guided me. Indeed, when women support each other, incredible things happen.

I am paying forward what I received back then. My commitment is to support women in this field and work hand in hand to break down stereotypes and biases, enabling us to occupy more space and grow as professionals. When women support other women, it contributes to the overall advancement of women in society. This can help change societal attitudes and promote a more inclusive and equal society. Chelsea Handler once said, "I never blow out someone else's candle to make mine brighter."
