Kraft Foods Recalls a Small Number of Jack’s Original Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza Due to an Undeclared Allergen

Northfield, IL, August 18 --  Kraft Foods is recalling a limited number of packages from a single code date (0932) of Jack’s 12” Original Sausage & Pepperoni frozen pizzas because they have been mislabeled with ingredient back labels that do not declare soy protein concentrate.  Approximately 7,500 Jack’s Sausage & Pepperoni pizzas are part of this recall.

The mislabeled Jack’s pizza product can be identified as follows:

  • Front label identifies the product as Jack’s Original Sausage & Pepperoni pizza.
  • The inaccurate label is on the back of the package.  Directly below the Nutrition Facts panel, the product is described as a Tombstone Original 12” Pepperoni pizza.  Directly to the right, the UPC code is 7192100519.
  • Any pizza that has a Jack’s label on the back of the pizza is not a part of the recall.
  • No Tombstone pizzas are part of this recall.

This recall only affects consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy.
