Kraft Foods Recalls a Small Number of Jack’s Original Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza Due to an Undeclared Allergen
Northfield, IL, August 18 -- Kraft Foods is recalling a limited number of packages from a single code date (0932) of Jack’s 12” Original Sausage & Pepperoni frozen pizzas because they have been mislabeled with ingredient back labels that do not declare soy protein concentrate. Approximately 7,500 Jack’s Sausage & Pepperoni pizzas are part of this recall.
The mislabeled Jack’s pizza product can be identified as follows:
- Front label identifies the product as Jack’s Original Sausage & Pepperoni pizza.
- The inaccurate label is on the back of the package. Directly below the Nutrition Facts panel, the product is described as a Tombstone Original 12” Pepperoni pizza. Directly to the right, the UPC code is 7192100519.
- Any pizza that has a Jack’s label on the back of the pizza is not a part of the recall.
- No Tombstone pizzas are part of this recall.
This recall only affects consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy.
